My New Music Video – "Codependency" (Lil Bo Weep Cover)

Hey Music Lovers,

The talk of the day is my new music video for "Codependency."

I’ve been dealing with my own kind of codependency—not to drugs or anything like that, but honestly the equivalent. Human codependency. They say love is like a drug, right? Well, the withdrawals from not talking to your person can be just as bad.

Anyways, "Codependency" is a song by Australian artist Lil Bo Weep (Unaloon). It touches on unhealthy dependence, manipulation, and the emotional toll of codependent relationships. The lyrics are about struggling to cope with a partner’s behavior and feeling trapped in a cycle of self-sabotage.

IDK why, but this song just did it for me. I listened to it over and over and over again. I even tried learning it on guitar—managed to, actually. But let’s be real, my live guitar cover sucks. Instead, my buddy Scott and I recreated the whole song in my home studio, giving it a darker tone. That KW1LL1S sauce. Some people say they prefer my version’s production, but I’ll always love the original more.

Rest in peace to Winona Lisa Green, aka Lil Bo Weep, aka Unaloon.

Why Her Name Might Sound Familiar

If you’ve seen KW1LL1S & Unaloon together before, it’s because I did a song with her called "Wish I Was Dead." She had dropped an open verse track on SoundCloud, letting anyone use it on all platforms as long as she got credit. I put a few verses on it, and it’s still on Spotify today.

The "Codependency" Music Video

In her original music video, Unaloon is in a dark room with a possible lover, smoking either a cig or a joint—I’m not sure. The video has glitch effects, static, and this overwhelming sadness. Even now, this song still makes me wanna cry. If I hadn’t covered it, I probably would’ve taken a year off music just to keep listening to it. That’s how much I love it.

My version? Different.

I filmed this on my drone near the Alton Bridge. The whole thing is dark. The lyrics are dark. The vocals have this sinister tone, and somehow, it hugs your ears just right. It becomes a place where you can sit with your emotions safely. You can barely see me in the video, but that was the point. The beauty in our darkness.

My favorite shot?

Me standing on a rock at the top of a hill with my arms out—right as a bird flies past. That bird was a paid actor because… wtf.

Much love,

P.S. If you vibe with it, throw it in your playlist and let it ride.
